  i think most on here will be familiar with the caller hook up system that many congregations use.

  visit about 2 months ago.

  during our servant and elders meeting he was talking up the importance of meeting attendance and how we "gods spirit appointed men" must take the lead on making every meeting.

  WOW...90% of my post got cut out!

  Anyways....long story short...I took my sister on a picnic this past Sunday and she wanted to hear the meeting. So she asked me for the pin # for the caller hookup. I told her I didn't know it even though I did. So she called her Service Overseer for the # but he wouldn't give it to her because she wasn't sick but and I quote "goofing off and not at Jehovah's table."

  My sister was furious and hung up immediately and said "What an ass!" Yep....I think I need to plan another brunch/picnic on a Sunday.

  Has anyone else heard of this 'new policy" to control who uses the telephone tie in?

During our Servant and Elders meeting he was talking up the importance of meeting attendance and how we "Gods spirit appointed men" must take the lead on making every meeting.

  Actually no, she is known to have "lost it" for awhile. Still a pioneer though. I am surprised they still call on her.

  We actually had an elderly pioneer say that she loves this new light. She said she never understood all this, and I quote her, "type/anti-type BS!" And then went on to say she used to tell bible students who asked her what does this mean to just come to the Hall and it will be answered. The whole place chuckled for a good minute. Yep, a long time servant of Jah admitted it was BS right in the middle of the meeting.

  May 2015 JW Broadcast, "The Watchtower Has The Most Multilingual Speakers in the World? True or False?

  stephen lett about 33 minutes in to may's "liar liar" episode of the monthly worship broadcast said "jehovah's witnesses have the most multilingual speakers of any organization in the world!".

  the catholic church has the most people i thought, do you think he's telling the truth and where is he getting these facts?

  i finally broke down and decided to watch this in order to work on my reverse witnessing skills, lots of ammunition for anyone needing fuel to extinguish their dirty flames of lies!.

  The most in the world? Hmmm, I don't know. I do know that there has been, as of late, a big push to learn a second language to preach to immigrants in the USA. I know of at least 6 special language groups in my area. I would say that 80% of the young ones in my congregation attend these. To me, it seems to be more of a social occasion for them. I tested some of them awhile back by introducing myself to some of them in Russian, and to my surprise they didn't understand me. This was after they were in the class for going on a year.

  Some people here in western Pa are noticing it. I know many old timers who really don't get this. Some are actually just keeping their mouths shut not wanting to rock the boat. I help an older couple with grass cutting and little odds and ends who privately confided in me that it is "odd" and is like "Christendom!" They are just very afraid to speak up....

  I actually LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. It is helping my sister to wake up. She actually got in trouble last week for telling a piousneer that her jw pin and jw.org branded magazine holder would have been a big no no just 10 years ago and could have gotten you reproved. An elder this past service meeting told me we are going to have a "keep up with Jah's celestial chariot" part on our next local needs....partly due to my sister! I love it.

  the gbs 2015 doctrinal spring cleaning is a gift to all faders.

  when we were fading they were grappling with the dying generation.

  their ensuing explanations made our diminishing meeting attendance and service easily explainable.

  I have to agree with DOC. Me, being a Ministerial Servant and just turning down the position of Elder, would be tried and executed by my BOE for apostasy if I tried that. It may work for some, especially if you weren't appointed. But if you have ANY position in the Organization I wouldn't recommend it.
